Anodizing process oriented to castings and die-castings, characterized by a high silicon content. In addition to a good aesthetic appearance, it stands out for its very high resistance to corrosion.

CORROSION RESISTANCE

The aluminum treated with the Zancofuso® process satisfactorily withstands atmospheric agents and chemical solutions with a pH varying from 4 to 9.
Its duration to corrosion, in addition to depend on the percentage of silicon of the base material present in the fusion or die-casting, it also depends on the thickness of the coating itself.

THICKNESS

Thicknesses are determined according to the final purpose. For parts used in closed environments, a layer of 5-10 microns is sufficient. For weathered parts a layer of 10 to 20 microns is recommended.

MATERIAL CHOICE

Zancofuso® was developed to solve problems on die-cast alloys with a percentage of silicon higher than 10%. It’s important having as base material a surface as much homogeneous as possible.
