Ferritic Nitrocarburizing

Galvanic treatments

Main board

Ferritic nitrocarburizing is a thermochemical treatment through which the superficial layer of a steel is enriched with nitrogen and carbon. Such process creates and an enforced layer that increases the hardness of the superficial layer, offering the following characteristics to the object:

  • Increase of superficial hardness
  • Improved resistance to wear and tear
  • Improved endurance
  • Less Friction
  • Moderate resistance to corrosion

From 0.10 to 0.60 mm (class NtE1 – NtE5 – UNI 10931)

Thanks to gaseous nitriding, the product appears neat and in a shade of opaque light grey.

  • Carbon Steels
  • Tempering Steels
  • Low carbon steels
  • Cast-steels
